Quick and Easy Cinnamon Rolls
Cinnamon rolls are normally a time consuming endeavor, but this recipe lets you whip them up in less than an hour. Great for a breakfast treat that is a nice change from pancakes. It will satisfy a cinnamon roll craving no problem!
Makes 15 rolls.
Ingredients:
Dough:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. butter, room temperature
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1 egg
Cinnamon Sugar Filling:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
4 tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and rub 9x13 baking pan with butter.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In separate bowl mix together milk, sour cream, vanilla and egg.
- Add wet mixture to dry and mix together with rubber spatula until dough comes together.
- Move dough to counter lightly dusted with flour and roll out dough to rectangular shape about 15x9 inches.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar filling and roll dough up on 15 inch side. Pinch to close.
- Cut into 15 pieces and place in prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes.
