Quick and Easy Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are normally a time consuming endeavor, but this recipe lets you whip them up in less than an hour. Great for a breakfast treat that is a nice change from pancakes. It will satisfy a cinnamon roll craving no problem!

Makes 15 rolls.


2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. butter, room temperature
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1 egg

Cinnamon Sugar Filling:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
4 tsp. cinnamon

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and rub 9x13 baking pan with butter.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In separate bowl mix together milk, sour cream, vanilla and egg.
  4. Add wet mixture to dry and mix together with rubber spatula until dough comes together.
  5. Move dough to counter lightly dusted with flour and roll out dough to rectangular shape about 15x9 inches. 
  6. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar filling and roll dough up on 15 inch side. Pinch to close.
  7. Cut into 15 pieces and place in prepared baking pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
